Heatkeeper Radiator Panels

Heatkeeper Radiator Panels are quickly and easily fitted behind existing radiators - normally without removing them - giving instant results.

Heatkeeper radiator insulation panels are a simple and effective way of reducing heating costs by up to 20% and therefore cutting your carbon emission footprint, by improving the efficiency of your central heating and the cost of installing Heatkeeper Radiator Panels in a typical home can pay back in less than a year

Heatkeeper panels are available in packs of:

5 panels (2 to 3 radiators),

10 panels (4 to 5 radiators),

20 panels (for 8 to 10 radiators)

30 panels (12 to 15 radiators).

However, if you call us on 01637 854717 we will cater a pack size to your exact requirements.

Each pack includes a sufficient supply of double sided tape to stick the panels to your wall and comprehensive fitting instructions. Just select the quantity you need from the drop-down menu below. The panels themselves can be cut to suit a range of standard radiator sizes and are pre-marked to make installation a very simple DIY task.

Each Pack Contains:
Heatkeeper Panels: (HxWxD) 580mm x 450mm x 8mm panels.
Double-sided fixing tape
Full installation instructions

The panels both reflect heat back to the radiator, making it more efficient in heating the room and, through their unique shaping, duct heat from behind the radiator for improved heat distribution throughout the room

Delivery charge is just £4.99 for all pack sizes

Installing the Heatkeeper radiator panels improves efficiency in two ways:

Without insulating panels, heat is lost from behind your radiator by heating the wall and subsequent seepage through the wall to the outside. With panels installed the wall behind the radiator is insulated and the heat from the back of the radiator is directed back into the room.
Without the panels, heated air behind the radiator rises causing it to spin up the wall and then spread out at ceiling level - the ridged profile of the Heatkeeper panels stops the air spinning and directs warm air back into the room at body height first (see the diagrams below).
Heatkeeper panel characteristics:

Heatkeeper radiator insulation panels are flexible but robust. They are not themselves damaged by water, but the metallising may be impaired if stored in wet conditions.
Resistance to fire: Class 1 surface spread of flame when tested in accordance with BS476: Part 7: 1971, section 2. Toxicity: panels are safe to use where they would be accessible to children.
Installation: it is not normally necessary to remove radiators in order to fix the panels, though walls should be free of dust. The panels are secured to the wall with double-sided tape.
Heatkeeper radiator panels can be cut with scissors, and cut edges readily overlap horizontally and vertically to fit any size of radiator.
Independent test (BSRIA, The Scottish Energy Centre & U.K.A.E.A) indicate that fitting Heatkeeper radiator insulation panels will reduce heat cost and carbon dioxide emissions by between 8-15% depending on the wall structure of your property, giving a payback period of between 6 & 24 months.

Further to our telephone conversation I wanted to write and extole the virtues of the Heatkeeper Panels. Ours arrived on Saturday so fitting them was our weekend project. I put the tape on and hubby stuck them behind the radiators!! We had a lot of fun doing this project. Once the central heating came on, the difference we could feel in the temperature was certainly noticable. Before we had to get right up to the radiators to feel any heat coming from them, but now we can feel the heat being thorwn into the room due to the unique design of the panels. I explained to my hubby how they work in 2 ways ie to reflect the heat back from the wall and also to circulate that heat more efficiently. I would certainly recommend the Heatkeeper Panels to anyone thinking about purchasing them. And at a cost of less than a fiver for an average radiator it is money very well spent.
