The Vitogrow is very simple to use. It is a complete kit, ideal for anyone who thinks they cannot grow vegetables.
This unique home vegetable kit uses water from the resevoir or it can be connected to your own water butt with the hose.
Fill the Watering Tray and reservoir and insert the Capillary Strips into the holes in the Feeder Tray. Fill the Growing Tray with compost. Sow the seeds (if growing salads) or add plants
Keep the reservoir topped-up.
The Capillary Strips distribute water where it is needed whilst the Feeder Tray separates the water from the plants, meaning that plants are never stood in water (which could lead to rotting and suffocation). This separation of the Water Tray and Growing Tray is unique amongst self-watering kits that don?t use a pump. It prevents root rot and oxygen starvation that can be caused by plants sitting in water. This automatic feeding and watering means that plants are never undernourished or over-watered.
Protection - The optional protective lids and layers protect crops from cold weather whilst the large ventilation vents ensure plants are not subjected to excessive humidity.
The Vitogrow is a portable garden, propagator and mini greenhouse all in one.
Deep growing tray - at 50cm or one metre long there is plenty of space to grow a productive salad garden. There is also plenty of depth allowing you to grow a wide range of edibles. The drainage holes prevent over-watering.
Grow Anywhere - indoors or outdoors. Wherever you have a fairly sunny 1m of space you can grow an edible garden. In a 100cm x 50cm space you can grow 40 salad leaf plants (or a mix of plants) and they will all be automatically fed and watered.
Grow all year - Pick fresh herbs and salads all year thanks to the protective mini greenhouse layers. Add as many protective layers as you need, even tall plants can be protected from cold, frost, slugs and mice. If you don?t want to add the layers to your Vitogrow, just take it indoors in cold weather.
