The BRE has reported that a sheet of Radflek will save up to 83 kWh of energy per annum.

Based on current energy prices¹ this equates to:
An annual saving of £40 per 10 pack of Radflek
As part of a global initiative to reduce CO² emissions the British government has put in place a Carbon Emission Reduction Target (CERT) scheme to reduce the carbon footprint of individual households within the UK. For more information on energy efficiency and CO² reduction visit the Energy Saving Trust and the Carbon Trust websites.
Radflek has been certified for use as a CERT product
A 10 pack of Radflek can save 89 kg CO² per annum

Tests carried out by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) show that Radflek reduces heat transfer through walls by 45%. The Building Research Establishment (BRE), the leading research institution in the field of building technology, has also reported that Radflek is 23% more efficient at saving energy and reducing CO² emissions than the leading competitor and that a sheet of Radflek will save 8.9 kg CO² per annum.
Test Results
“Demonstrated a heat saving, and a beneficial effect on flow pattern, due to the presence of the panel, especially when radiation is taken into account. Overall savings in the range of 22% to 27% can be expected’’.
- UKAEA Laboratory, Harwell, Oxford.
‘’It can therefore be said that the variation in output and hence reduction in losses is 15% to 13%, based upon mean water minus room air temperature from 10 to 60 degrees celsius. This figure relates to the losses through all surfaces and not just the external wall”
- BSRIA (Building Services Research and Industry Association
‘’I am pleased to report a saving of 23.7% for September and October… this result has exceeded our expectations and would indicate that the Novitherm panel provides a new method of achieving substantial savings, even in circumstances where the building fabric meets or exceeds current best practice standards”
The Queen’s University Belfast
“ Results for the period of test indicated that the Novitherm panels gave an average saving of 14.4%” -
